Do I need a dedicated home charger?
It depends on your driving and charging needs. A suitable existing power point with compatible charging equipment may meet some drivers’ needs; others benefit from a dedicated charger.
The electrical installation should be assessed before relying on it for EV charging.
Will I need a new switchboard?
Not necessarily. We need to assess the existing switchboard, protection and available electrical capacity.
Some installations need additional work. We will explain any proposed changes and include them in the scope before you decide to proceed.
How quickly will my vehicle charge?
Charging speed depends on the vehicle, charger, available supply and installation settings. A charger’s advertised maximum output does not mean every vehicle or property can use that output.

Can I charge using solar?
Solar generation can contribute to charging while it is available. Features that automatically adjust charging to use surplus solar depend on compatible equipment and configuration.

What if I live in an apartment or rent?
Tell us about your parking space and property arrangements. Owner or strata approval may be needed, and shared buildings can involve additional electrical infrastructure and access requirements.
These details should be established before installation is arranged.
What affects installation cost?
Factors include the charger selected, distance from the switchboard, cable access, mounting location, circuit protection and any required electrical upgrades.
