GOOD TO KNOW
Electrical services: your questions answered
1. Which areas does BIZNAR Electrical service?
We’re based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and also consider work across Sydney and surrounding areas. Include your suburb and a short description of the job so we can confirm suitability and availability. Work is by appointment; submitting a preferred date does not confirm a booking.
2. Do you handle small electrical jobs as well as larger projects?
Yes. We help with power points, switches, lighting, ceiling fans and fault finding, alongside switchboard upgrades, EV chargers, renovations and commercial electrical work. If you have several jobs, include them in one enquiry so we can assess the complete scope.
3. Will I receive a quote before work starts?
We can provide a quote outlining the proposed work and price before starting. Some jobs need more information or a site assessment first. Sending an enquiry starts the quoting process; it does not confirm a price or appointment.
4. What affects the cost of electrical work?
The cost depends on the work involved, materials, access and the condition of the existing installation. Replacing a fitting at an existing point can involve different work from installing one in a new location. Photos, quantities and product details help us assess your requirements.
5. What information should I provide for an electrical quote?
Include your suburb, what you want installed or repaired, how many items are involved, and whether they are replacements or new installations. Mention ceiling heights, access restrictions and preferred timing. Product models and photos of visible fittings or the work area can also help.
6. Can I supply my own lights, ceiling fans or other fittings?
Yes. We can install customer-supplied fittings, subject to confirming their suitability and installation requirements. If you already own a fitting, send its brand, model and photos for assessment. If you are considering a purchase, send the product link before buying. If you would like BIZNAR to supply the materials, mention that in your enquiry so we can include suitable options.
7. Can you replace existing lights with LED downlights or add dimmers?
Yes. We can assess your existing lighting and discuss suitable LED downlights and dimming options. Tell us how many lights you have, the room and ceiling height, and whether you want to use the existing positions. Photos and details of any existing dimmers are helpful.
8. Can you install a ceiling fan where I currently have a light?
We can assess whether the location is suitable and what changes are needed. Installation depends on the fan, ceiling support, wiring, controls and access. Include the fan model, ceiling height and whether you want a fan with a light.
9. Can you upgrade an old switchboard?
Yes. We assess existing switchboards and can quote for suitable upgrades, circuit protection and testing. The work required depends on the condition of the board and installation. Let us know about any electrical problems or planned additions, such as an EV charger or new appliance.
10. Do you install home and workplace EV chargers?
Yes. We install EV chargers with the required circuit, protection and testing. Include your vehicle and charger model, parking location and property details. Electrical capacity and the cable route need assessment; solar integration depends on compatibility.
11. Can you help with renovations, extensions and new builds?
Yes. We can assist with lighting, power points, switchboards, data cabling and smart home wiring. Share your plans, project stage, preferred timing and any builder or designer requirements so we can assess the scope and coordination needed.
12. How can I check your licence and insurance details?
Our NSW electrical contractor licence number is displayed in the website footer. You can request current licence and insurance documentation when making an enquiry.
